Some arguments about the entropic method are given in this paper. Firstly, an equivalent transformation to avoid the overflow of exponential calculation in the entropic method is given. Then a detailed analysis of the differences between the two smoothing functions φ（x） and φp（x,u） is presented, in order to avoid the confusion between these two functions. Based on the analysis the potential mistakes that are caused by the misuses are proposed.
