Based on 181 effective questionnaires from college graduates and fallowing descriptions of the investigation process and current situation, we conducted an empirical research on the influencing factors of new generation college students'career planning from a four- dimensional visual angle as self-cognition, occupation-cognition, strategic plan and implementation. The results indicated that 59.67% of these graduates feel puzzled on their career choice and occupation development and are dissatisfied with the career planning education that provided by their colleges. Although, in five aspects as gender, students'hometown, students cadre, major and the educational level of parents, graduates'career planning displayed no significance divergence, certain specific dimensions score quite different. We discussed the possible deep- seated reasons in view of these new discoveries and proposed suggestions. We hope this paper will provide a scientific basis for alleviating the employment pressure of college students, enhancing the employment quality and sustainable development ability.
