Using the definition of task defined by Winslor Taylor for reference, combined the view point of modem cognitive science of information processing and problem solving, this paper presents the connotation of knowledge tasks from the point of view of management engineering and work efficiency, information - processing and problem solving respectively：Knowledge tasks are series of motions, mind operation is the therblig of knowledge tasks process ; Knowledge tasks are the information processing of human brain, mind operation is arithmetic of knowledge task ; Knowledge tasks are series of mind operations that directed by the goal, including the standard output of results.
