A mathematical model of fuzzy random reliability is developed, taking fuzzy random variables as basic variables. An improved Monte Carlo method is presented to calculate the fuzzy random reliability. As an example, it is used to calculate the fuzzy random reliability of the crack width of a steel reinforced concrete(SRC) simply supported beam at serviceability limit state. This indicates the improved Monte Carlo method is simple and effective. It is a new way to calculate fuzzy random reliability.
