The latest progress in time-keeping work in the national time service center （NTSC） and application of precise time signals are briefly introduced in this paper. Through carrying out related technology research in time generation and maintenance, and through strengthening and developing the basic technical conditions of national standard time UTC（NTSC） system, a great achievement has been realized, the performance of UTC（NTSC） has reached the international advanced level, and the NTSC Time-keeping Laboratory has become one of the most important time-keeping unit in international atomic time （TAI） system.
