In order to make image processing serve the information transmission and expression better, the multi-wavelet transform theory is introduced. On the basis of analyzing the multi-wavelet transform theory and combining discrete multi-wavelet transform implementation method, the application of multi-wavelet transform in image processing is studied deeply. The research results show that, in comparison with single-wavelet transform, the multi-wavelet transform has better effect in the aspects of image compression and image denoising.
