In view of the multi - attribute decision - making problem with the attribute value within interval numbers, a concise and practical decision analysis approach is proposed in this paper. Firstly, we prove that the advantage relation of the alternatives is equivalent to the mean of the two attribute interval end value （ interval median）. Secondly, we transform the multi - attribute decision -making problem with the attribute value within interval numbers into the problem with the attribute value within interval medians, and use the ordered weighted averaging method to rank all the alternatives as well as select the best. Finally, a numerical example is used to illustrate the feasibility and the validity of the approach proposed in the paper.
