Besides supplying the significant meat product for human being,pigs also play a vital role in the research fields of human disease as the fabulous animal models. MicroRNA（ miRNA） is the important regulatory molecules in living organism. The identification of miRNAs and exploring of miRNAs functions involved in pig ＇s production performance,hormone secretion and animals disease not only improve meat quality and function of swine nutrition metabolism,but also contribute to the development of livestock industry. This paper reviewed the identification methods and function of miRNAs in pigs.
