Questionnaire survey on science and technology information needs of 325 farmers from 45 impoverished villages in central and southern Ningxia, it shows that farmers＇ choice to information types, information access, information service mode have more obvious tendency, therefore, it need take measures to strengthen the technology information service level from the source, transmission, service mode in order to better meet the demand of farmers in poverty villages ,and play an active role of technology information on promoting poverty alleviation and development.
