Given the ever-increasing complexity of the power system dispatching, there is an urgent need to develop the application of the safe and economical power generation scheduling with all the constraints considered. This paper presents a comprehensive introduction of the day-ahead generation scheduling and an in-depth analysis on generation scheduling optimization and quantities' safety checking. The application shows that the system can effectively optimize the unit plans and power flow distribution and enhance the decision-making capacity and intelligent level of power generation scheduling.
