A scheme is proposed for teleporting a controlled-not gate via cavity QED. In the scheme, since the frequency of the atomic transition is large detune to the cavity, the cavity is only virtually excited, so that there is no energy exchange between the cavity and the atomic system. Thus the requirement on the quality of the cavity is greatly loosened.
