The pathogenicity of sweet potato stem nematode （Ditylenchus destructor） to peanut （Arachis hypogaea） was confirmed by inoculation test in pot with peanut plants. The nematode infected the roots, pegs and pods of peanut, and reduced the number and the weight of pods. Peanut pegs suffered seriously from the nematodes. The differences in the symptoms and resistance of the peanut varieties to sweet potato stem nematode were showed by inoculation test.
