A method for online defect inspection of the pellicle is put forward. A few linear CCDs are used to capture images of the pellicle surface simultaneously. These captured images are then processed with DSP technique in order to clearly obtain the quality conditions of the pellicle. We discuss the transition circuit for CCD high speed digital signal, the produce for the Exsync signal, CCD control and communication interface with DSP, and software design based on DSP. The system can accurately, timely and effectively check out various defects over the pellicle surface.
