Langmuir equation is based on the absorption model of monomolecular layer. Theoretically ,CO absorption in coal doesn' t conform to absoption model of monomolecular layer. At low temperature, both absorption models of monomolecular layer and CO absorption in coal are described by Type I absorption isotherm. So Langmuir equation can be commonly used to study CO absorption in coal. At high temperature, the relationship between the CO absorption in coal and the pressure is linear. The assurance of CO absorption model can increase the accuracy of estimation the spontaneous combustion and provide basis can decrease unnecessary prevention measure for studying the mechanism of CO absorption in coal ; at same time, it and increase the economic perform for working safely in mining.
