Aim To study the chemical constituents of Cynanchum amplexicaule Sieb. et Zucc. Methods The compounds were separated and purified by column chromatography and their structures were established by spectroscopic methods. Results Eleven compounds were isolated from the chloroform extract of Cynanchum amplexicaule Sieb. et Zucc., whose structures were determined as p-toluic acid （ 1 ）, vanillin （2）, vanillic acid（3 ）, syringaldehyde（ 4 ）, syringic acid （ 5 ）, sinapic acid （ 6 ）, hancockinol （ 7 ）, succinic acid （ 8 ）, 5-hydroxymethyl-2-furaldehyde（9）, β-sitosterol （10）, and daucosterol （ 11 ）. Conclusion Compounds 1 - 11 were isolated from Cynanchum amplexicaule Sieb. et Zucc. for the first time.
