英文摘要：

Taking 2003-2011 data of 27 manufacturing industries in China as samples, the article builds a panel data model of environmental regulation＇ s effect on manufacturing green process innovation at sight and three delayed periods. The results show that the environmental regulation has a significant positive effect on the manufacturing green process patent numbers at sight and in lag 1 ,lag 2 ,lag 3, the effect promoted by environmental regulation in lag 1 is the best, the relationship between environmental regulation and manufacturing green process patent numbers is inverted U-shaped from the angle of time. The research indicates that environmental regulation has a significant positive effect on Chinese manufacturing＇ s green process innovation. It explains the causes of environment regulation＇ s effect on manufacturing＇ s green process innovation from the cost perspective. At last, some suggestions on how to amplify the environmental regulations＇ positive effect on green process innovation are provided.
