The research on carbon nitride materials, predicted by theoretic calculating, is very significant for science and technology, so that it is interesting for scholars from the fields of solid physics and material science. This work reviewed the progress of research on the structure predicted, synthesis, characterization of carbon nitride materials in the past years, and discussed the present condition of research on their properties, especially electric conductivity rate.
