According to steel casting production characteristics, raw materials supply condition and foundry technique developed level in present, the steel casting production characteristics of the sodium silicate sand technique, resin sand technique or clay sand technique were analyzed Meanwhile,the problem concerned the technologic selection of our country steel-casting foundry technique modification was discussed.The production costs and use characteristics of the sodium silicate sand and the alkali phenol formalde- hyde resin sand hardened by ester were compared also.
