从品质因子的原始定义出发,得出了一种可编程的光子晶体缺陷腔品质因子的数值设计方案,基于三维时域有限差分法编写了该方案的计算软件,借助该模拟软件,计算了硅基二维四方晶体和三角晶体微腔的品质因子。结果表明,尽管四方晶体的带隙宽度比三角晶体窄,但能获得更高的品质因子,更有利于提高滤波分辨率和耦合效率。
From the primitive definition of quality factor, a programmable design proposal for photon crystal defect cavities has been obtained, a software based on the three-dimensional finite-difference time-domain method was compiled, and with the aid of this simulation software, the micro cavity quality factors were numerically calculated for both square crystal and the triangle crystal. The calculated results demonstrate that the square crystal can obtain higher quality factor, though its band-gap width is narrower than that of triangle crystal, and it has more advantages to enhance the filter discrimination and coupling efficiency.
