Chitosan is the most abundant naturally occurring amino-polysaccharide with degradable,biocompatible,film-forming and antibacterial properties.Herein,the preparation methods of chitosan-based nanocapsules are described,such as ionic gelation,interfacial polymerization,layer-by-layer and so on.Also,the applications of chitosan-based nanocapsules in medicine,food and textile fields are emphasized.Finally,the review is concluded with some perspectives on the future research and development of chitosan-based nanocapsules.
