There has been an increasing interest in cluster chemistry during the past several decades. Very recently, the research on nanoclusters and nanoporous materials is evolving rapidly because of its relevance to nano-science. The structures with cavities and channels that may he exploited in nanotechnology, including shape- and sizeselective catalysis, separations, sensors, and optoelectronic and molecular recognition applications. The rational synthesis and the latest research of several kinds of cluster compounds are introduced, which tries to make people have a complete understanding of cluster compounds.
