With an illustration of the relations between career ability and teaching reform, the paper suggests that applied teaching be adopted in vocational education to improve students＇ career ability. The three important dements of applied teaching including lecturers＇ task, teaching method and evaluation modes are discussed, with an attempt to seek a teaching mode suitable for vocational education, so as to improve the teaching quality and enhance students＇ career ability.
