Based on technology innovation alliances＇ specific context, this paper deals with the mediation linking role playing in the relation between the social capital and innovative performance of the alliances of the cognitive, relational and structural types on knowledge sharing and knowledge creation. We found that ： （ 1 ） both cognitive and structural social capital could positively affect knowledge sharing, but their effects on knowledge creation take the form of an inverted U-shape; （2） relationship social capital＇s effects on both knowledge sharing and knowledge creation take the form of an inverted U-shape; （3） entrepreneurship orientation of alliance partners could positively moderate alliance social capital＇ s nonlinear effects on knowledge creation; （4） knowledge sharing＇s effects on innovation performance take the form of an inverted U-shape while knowledge creation positively affect innovation performance.
