基于对岩土工程教学现状的分析和对物理模拟在岩土工程教学中独特优势的认识,利用浙江大学建成的大型土工离心机ZJU-400开展了初步教学应用尝试。离心教学实验中,采用离心模型模拟一个升降水位引起边坡失稳的足尺实验实例。通过让学生全面参与土工离心模型试验过程,大大激发同学的兴趣,激活学生主动学习和主动思考的积极性,增强学生对土力学的直观认识,初步掌握土工测试技术。本尝试为我国岩土工程学科创新型教学改革提供有益的借鉴。
Based on the analysis of the present teaching situation in geotechnical engineering and the benefits of physical modeling for geotechnical engineering, a primary study of the application of geotechnical centrifuges in geotechnical engineering education was conducted in Zhejiang University. A large-scale slope model test subjected to rising and lowering water levels was simulated using the centrifuge. In this centrifuge test, students were encouraged to take part in the whole process, including test planning, model preparation, and centrifugal testing. It was found that this type of experimental teaching stimulated students' interest and made them learn and think more actively. The students had a deep understanding of the soil mechanics and learned the basic technology for soil measurement. The current study could benefit the undergoing innovative education reformation in geotechnical engineering.
