The American middle school completion system is characterized by complete organization and managementsystems, scientific competition methods, various event settings, an ever increasing degree of participation, rationalcompetition season arrangements etc. By learning from the American middle school completion system andanalyzing the current situation of school sports competitions in China, the authors put forward that middle schools inChina should value the functions of sports competitions, establish a people oriented sports competition organizationconception, and build popularized, routinized competition modes.
