目的评价市售牙签的安全性。方法将市售牙签样品制备浸提液,以不同浓度作用于人脐静脉内皮细胞,在不同时间段采用生物荧光检测试剂盒测定培养细胞的三磷酸腺苷,评价各种牙签的细胞毒性。电子游标卡尺测量牙签直径。按GB15979-2002《一次性使用卫生用品卫生标准》进行微生物检测。扫描电镜下观察样品表面光洁度。结果作用3、7、24h后,半数以上样品浸提液在50.00%、25.00%浓度时对正常细胞具有显著杀伤作用,部分样品12.50%、6.25%浓度仍对细胞有杀伤作用。浸提液pH值越低对细胞杀伤性越大。所检样品未测出致病菌,个别样品存在微生物超标。所检样品均做工粗糙,直径过大,表面光洁度差。结论市售牙签普遍存在生产粗糙、有害物残留过量的问题,其使用的安全性应引起牙科医生、消费者及有关部门的重视。
Objective To determine the healthy risks of toothpicks sold in the markets in Nanning, Guangxi province, PR China. Methods Human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVEC) were exposed to culture medium with toothpick extracts at different concentrations and for different incubation periods. The cytotoxic effects of toothpick extracts on HUVEC were examined by a standard adenosine triphosphate bioluminesceno assay. Diameters of the toothpicks' tip were measured with digital vernier calipers. Microbes were examined according to standard microbiological criteria (CB15979-2002). Surface smooth and glossy of toothpick samples were observed under scanning electron microscope. Results More than one half of the 11 inspected toothpick extractions killed HUVEC after 3, 7 or 24 hours treatment respectively in the 50.00% and 25.00% concentrations. A few killed cells in concentration of 12.50% and 6.25%. The cytotoxic effect was related to the pH of the extracts, i. e. , lower pH does more harm to the cells. Only 1 amongst 26 toothpick samples was found to exceed normal microbe counts and no pathogenic bacteria were founded in the examined samples. The tip of toothpicks in the markets is big and rough. Conclusion The quality of the toothpicks sold in the markets were poor in general. An immediate awareness and concern should come into the sights of dentists, consumers and relative authorities.
