Objective： To establish vascular dementia（Val）animal model and to approach the machanism of action of VaD with the kakkonein. Methods： To establish VaD model of old aged rats and to carry out the PET detection Results： Glucose of metabolism of the VaD rat brain improved by Kakkonein. Conclusion： This model is suitable for experimental studies of cerebral ischemia. Through PET scanning, kakkonein can improve the glucose of metabolism of the VaD rat brain.
