A quantitative study of the ecological pressure was made of different types of farmers＇ s livelihood in the Ganzhou District of Zhangye by adopting the principle of ecological footprint and the method of ecological pressure index.The result showed that natural,physical,human,financial and social assets all well reflected the current assets of the livelihood of farmers in the survey region.The ecological footprint of different farmers＇ livelihood in Ganzhou District presented a surplus status,totally speaking,and the ecological pressure index was in a safe state in2010—2014.What had influenced the ecology safety of the pure agricultural type and the type II agriculture greatly were the natural and human assets,and what had influenced the ecology safety of the non-agricultural type and the type I agriculture greatly were the financial and physical assets.
