Based on hyperbolic tanh function expansion method,Jacobi elliptic function expansion method and trial function method,an exponential function expansion method is presented and applied to construct new exact solutions of the general lattice,(2+1)-dimensional Tode lattice equation and other nonlinear difference differential equations with the help of symbolic computation system Mathematica.The solutions include exact solitary wave solutions.The method is of significance to seek exact solutions of other nonlinear difference differential equations.
