This article studied the certification of good agricultural practice （GAP） for Chinese crude drugs and biological medicine industry in Wuling mountainous area, and proposed the corresponding developmental countermeasures. It was recommended that： （1） to strengthen the cultivation base construction of GAP for Chinese crude drugs; （2） to strengthen the certification of GAP, GMP and GSP for national drugs; （3） to focus on the base construction of GAP for Chinese crude drugs with national geographical indication; （4） to strengthen the GAP certification of Chinese crude drug base in the poverty alleviation plan area; （5） to protect and inherit the cultural heritage of traditional Chinese medicine; （6） to accelerate the brand construction of Chinese crude drugs; （7） to develop the minority medicine and the biological medicine industry of Chinese crude drugs with national geographical indication.
