The activity of regional patent applications reflects regional technological progress and the level of innovative capacity. The conceptual model and hypotheses of regional drivers of patent applications is proposed based on the analysis of regional patent applications and the drivers. Based on the investigation of central,western and eastern regions,experimental result is proposed by analyzing the questionnaire through Structural Equation Modeling. It shows that part of central and western regions support the hypotheses,the eastern regions support the hypotheses. At last,the suggestions of the central and western regions patent development are proposed.
