机载气象雷达主要通过提取回波的谱宽信息实现大气湍流检测,估计大气湍流谱宽是至关重要的一步。除了湍流运动之外,机栽平台的运动、天线方位角和天线波束宽度等非气象因子也会引起频谱展宽,从而影响真实湍流谱宽估计结果的准确度。针对这一问题,提出了基于空时最优处理器的湍流谱宽估计方法。该方法利用空时自适应原理对湍流回波信号进行空时滤波处理,抑制雷达扫描过程中干扰因素的影响,实现对湍流真实谱宽的准确估计。仿真结果验证了该方法的有效性。
Turbulence detection of airborne weather radar is mainly based on the estimation of spectrum width, which is a crucial step. Besides the movement of atmospheric turbulence, the azimuth and beam width of the antenna as well as the motion of airborne platform may also lead to spectrum width increase, which would affect the accuracy of spectrum width estimating result for real turbulence. A method of turbulence spectrum width estimation based on space-time optimal processor is proposed to solve the above problem. The proposed algorithm can suppress the influence of interference factors with space-time adaptive processing principle and achieve an accurate estimation for the turbulence spectral width. Simulation result proves the method' s effectiveness.
