Transmission characteristics of upswept trapezoidal-ridge waveguide are analyzed by the finite element method. The cutoff wavelength of the dominant mode, bandwidth and field pattern of the typical model size of upswept trapezoidal-ridge waveguide are obtained respectively. The influence of the parameters on the transmission characteristics is discussed. Finally,some computational data and figures are obtained.
