According to niche theory. a comprehensive evaluation indices system of regional niche,which consists of 3 dimensions of economy,society and ecological environment involving 22 variables,is built,Applying the indices system,the niches of various regions in Fujian Province are calculated. In view of the local conditions of Ningde City,the local development strategies such as differentiation of regional orientation,directed evolution of industry development,introduction of external ecological units,integration and promotion of niche efficiency,and development of innovation ability are proposed.
