对椭圆芯保偏光纤模间干涉特性进行了仿真研究,通过数值计算分析了椭圆芯保偏光纤模间干涉拍长、模传播常数、模间传播常数差与光源波长的关系,并对椭圆芯保偏光纤椭圆度和纤芯折射率变化对模间干涉特性的影响进行了深入分析,给出了相应的仿真结果和曲线。本文的研究结果对于设计基于椭圆芯保偏光纤模间干涉原理的光纤传感器具有重要的指导作用。
The modular interference characteristics of elliptical-core polarization maintenance optic fiber (E-core PMF) is studied by using COMSOL software in this paper. The relationship between laser source wavelength and modular interference beat length, the propagation constant and propagation difference of E-core PMF is analysised numerically. Furthermore, the influence of ellip- ticity and core refractive index of E-core PMF on modular interference characteristics is investigated carefully. And the simulation result is plotted comprehensively. The research results in this paper can provide theory direction for designing optic fiber sensors based on modular interference of E-core PMF.
