Consistency of viewpoints is the kernel problem of muhiview-oriented Requirements Engineering. In the consistency checking and inconsistency management of viewpoints, the definition of consistency between viewpoints is very important. The related researches of the definition of consistency between viewpoints are summarized firstly, at the same time, three types of definition of consistency between viewpoints are presented. Then based on the identity and expression style of viewpoint derived from Problem Frame method, the factors of inconsistency among viewpoints are analyzed in details and the definition of consistency between viewpoints and the corresponding characteristics are discussed.
