In order to improve the security of operate systems and applications, the system virtualization technology is studied; the typical security applications and research are discussed. According to the software level of existing researches, the current re- search progress and future trends from three aspects： security improvement of applications, operating system and virtual machine monitor are analyzed and summarized. An analysis and debug method for malware based on system virtualization be designed, the feasibility and effectiveness of the method are verified by implementing prototype system on the Intel-VT platform.
