基于孕震断层多锁固段脆性破裂理论,阐明了断层锁固段累积Benioff应变(CBS)与剪切应变等效性成立的条件.此外,还给出了详细的CBS值计算方法.实例分析表明,断层锁固段CBS与剪切应变等效,且其是容易测定的物理量,可用于大地震孕育过程分析.
Based on the brittle failure theory of multiple locked patches in a seismogenic fault system,the equivalence conditions between the cumulative Benioff strain( CBS) and the shear strain for locked patches along a seismogenic fault system are elucidated in the paper. In addition,a detailed calculation method of CBS is suggested. It is demonstrated by the case study that CBS as a conveniently measured physical quantity is equivalent to shear strain,and thus can be used to analyze the seismogenic process of major earthquakes.
