Modernization and a comfortably-off society are organically related to each other;therefore,the construction course of modernization can be started in the areas that take the lead in achieving an all-round comfortably-off society.People First is the orientation of modernization,in which all the people＇s demands for health,enjoyment,development,social security and environment need to be manifested after a comfortably-off society is achieved.Common wealth is justifiably the main quality of socialist modernization with Chinese characteristics.To promote modernization in new developmental modes requires not only the conversion to intensive modes focusing on increasing efficiency but also the adjustment and optimization of industrial structure as well as the implement of the innovation-driving strategy.Modernization needs to be harmonious and sustainable and requires the social and cultural construction centered on the modernization of people as well as the construction of ecological civilization.Lastly,the construction of modernization requires the confrontation with agriculture and the rural areas,the integration of urban and rural development,as well as the balance between opening up and domestic development.
