For the use of the design method of FIR filter encountered some common problems with window function design method, such as how to understand the Gibbs effect, the difference between windowed FIR low pass filter amplitude function characteristics and IIR filter, how to understand the stopband frequency and minimum stopband attenuation, how to verify the FIR filter parameters, using window function method to design linear phase FIR high pass filter is only by type 1 filter, etc, combined with the design example in experiment, a detailed discussion and Matlab simulation analysis are carried out to help students develop the thinking about the related problems and deepen the understanding and application of the window function design method.
