The expansion of consumption is of great significance to overcome the adverse effects of the global finan- cial crisis and maintain the Chinese economy with sustained, steady and rapid growth. As the biggest market eco- nomic country of the world, American practical experiences of consumption regulation are meaningful to Chinese e- conomy development. That China~s consumption policy is not satisfied because of the lack of effective consumption policy system, the serious unbalance among resident earning ,government revenue, enterprise income and economy growth , as well as the short of social security system and consumption environment, et al. We should make use of the lessons of American consumption regulation to expand consumption and build effective consumption policy sys- tem according to our situation.
