This paper designs grid resource discovery process and grid resource economic scheduling process to achieve grid resource management. Grid resource discovery process provides a mechanism, which enables grid request agent to discover grid resources. Grid resource economic scheduling process enables grid task agent to buy resources of grid resource agent through bidding and complete computational tasks. The paper presents the formal descriptions of grid resource discovery process and grid resource economic scheduling process, and also describes their main data structures.
