选取东江流域57个测站的45年月降水资料，采用经验正交函数（EOF）分解的方法，对东江流域降水场的时空分布进行了研究。结果表明：东江流域冬季降水场在全流域上具有大尺度特征，而夏季降水场局部性较为明显；降水空间分布特征随时间变化而改变，其中以夏季变化最大，冬季变化最小；东江流域降水空间分布的年际变化中只有秋季存在显著周期。
英文摘要：
Based on monthly precipitation in the Dongjiang River Basin from 1956 to 2000, the method of EOF has been employed to analyze the temporal and spatial characteristics of precipitation. The result shows that feature of the precipitation in winter is of large scale while small scale in summer, and the spatial characteristics are changed with different time especially a large change in summer, and the obvious period of spatial characteristics has only been found in autumn in the Dongjiang River Basin.
