The contradictions left over by history derived from special policies in a particular historical stage which led to a large number and wide range of contradictions and conflicts at this stage. The contradictions have a serious social impact and are hard to be resolved, becoming one of the rigidity of the main social contradiction in China. Therefore, it should be resolved under the principle of respect for history and reality, implementing by a classified and orderly way, adhering to linkage and synchronization for all regions, and comprehensive application of emotion, reason and law. At the same time, it should guarantee rational design and public participation in the formulation of social policy, achieving equal emphasis on prevention and resolution, which will prompt the contradictions left over by history gradually weaken and fade.
