英文摘要：

The unearthed materials of Qin characters have an important effect on the studies of admin- istrative regionalization geography of Qin dynasty. This article is based on previous results of research to try to illustrate the value of the unearthed Qin characters from the aspects of rectifying the reductant or missing place names and the writting errors in extant historical records, supplementing records＇omissions in the institution of commandery and county, correcting the neglects and mistakes in the study of Qin counties＇ Shizhi（始置）, Xizhi（析置） and their territories＇ variation, and how to avoid misusing the unearthed geo- graphic materials. The article also improves some new opinions on this study.
