The main content of Digital Cartography includes cartography, GIS and information technology, which are greatly influenced by new technology. The emergency of big data has brought great opportunities and challenges for the development of Digital Cartography. This paper discusses the teaching object and course content under the background of big data, and puts forward some suggestion.
