From the winter in 2006 to the spring in 2007, colony collapse disorder (CCD) prevailed world widely and caused heavy losses. CCD is a syndrome that most of the adult worker bees disappeared rapidly and abruptly, without any bodies inside hive. There only left the queen, broods, some young worker bees and huge quantity of honey and pollen in cells. Although the cause of CCD has not been identified, the Israeli Acute Paralysis Virus (IAPV) was surveyed to be strongly relative to CCD. The pathogenesis of CCD was still undiscov- ered. The advance, including symptoms of CCD and its possible pathogenesis, were summarized in this review. It was presented that several problems on CCD should be seriously paid attention to and the measures should be taken to control CCD.
