Compositae is a family of the most dicotyledonous plants species. Survey results show that, there are 56 Composi- tae plants species of 33 genera in Shibing county of Guizhou province, which are available for landscaping, medicinal, edi- ble, forage, industrial raw materials. However, the development and utilization in related application fields should be reason- ably with protection of wild resource being highly prized. Effective protection and rational development and utilization of wild Compositae resources scientifically and methodically is very important for respecting nature, sustainable development, and ben- efiting future generations.
