Based on endogenous growth model with expanding variety of intermediates, and the exclusive nature of technology, analyze the strength of intellectual property affecting the regional technological gap. As technology usually non-exclusive in high-tech industries. Based on the China＇s provincial data shows that patent protection to help promote the technology progress of China＇s provinces with intensive high-tech industry than other provinces, intellectual property protection has help expand the technology gap between the regional in the short term.
