To improve the electrochemical properties of LiFePO4, carbon doped LiFePO4 is prepared by solid phase reaction route. The samples are tested by XRD, SEM, electrochemical charge and discharge tests and A.C. impedance tests. The results show that the carbon dopants don't affect the structure of the samples but considerably improve their electrochemical performance. LiFePO4/C samples have an initiate capacity of 141.9mAh/g at 0. 1C, which decreases by 11.2mAh/g after 50 cycles. The specific capacity is 126.5mLAh/g at 1C and maintains the rate of 87. 2%after 50 cycles.
